No, he obsessively protects the ship and wildly risks absolutely everything else to protect it. It's the exact opposite of his established behaviour pattern.

I just love Khan :3 he's so awesome.

If you can do a Khan accent... well... :P

anyways, point is, 2 is awesome. Also Kirk never told anybody about Khan's location, because Kirk never wanted to let anyone know that he'd very nearly been beaten at his own game. SO. That's why nobody knew. Also they thought it was Ceti Alpha VI.

"This is Ceti Alpha V!!" <swoon>

Also I like Romulans cause they're better Vulcans.

The Enterprise computer literally records everything that happens on the ship and reports it all back to Starfleet Command, as if the whole crew were contestants on Big Brother. See "Court Martial."

Yeah, watch that episode again.

Also there's just no mention made of it in Trek II. Tampering with official records was a pretty big deal in "Court Martial", if that's what Kirk had been doing then it would have been a big deal in Khan.

What's more, Kirk had no reason to. He didn't have anything to hide in "Space Seed."

And it's just completely unnecessary to the plot. Why would it matter that Khan was forgotten about? It's just a symptom of lazy writing. The guy was a genius-level megalomaniac, if Starfleet had known about his existence the exact same series of events could have occurred.

I like DS9 the best, it's got a darker tone, it's the more cerebral series of the bunch (explains why Redezra wouldn't like it :P ). TNG is pretty good as well, I've never really watched any of the other series. I watched a few episodes of the TOS on netflix, just couldn't buy into it.

Khan had a Spanish accent, Redezra.  Ricardo Montalban was from Mexico.

DS9 was pretty good, it would probably be my second-favorite series.  Voyager was tough because for the first couple seasons most of the scripts were just leftovers from TNG.  Plus Neelix was insipid.  Later VGR episodes I've seen, the ones with Seven of Nine, were better, and not just because of her.  The writing was tighter, more coherent, the characters slightly less two-dimensional.  The "Year of Hell" storyline, at least what I remember of it, was really good.

The Ferengi are pretty stupid.  Also you have just assured yourself the role as the Ferengi character in any Star Trek parodies we do in the future.  :)

I always found the Ferengi to be pretty funny. I thought that their culture/motives/characteristics were really fleshed out in DS9 much more then in other series/movies. I don't know what your guy's problems are, I found Quark to be a quite likeable character.

Now it seems on every other series, whenever they run into the Ferengi, then yeah, the ferengi is a crappy character.

DS9 is a dumb show about dumb things. It doesn't resemble any of the other star trek's at all :<

Also; ERMAGERD OF COURSE :D Spanish accents are awesome. But he has a really, really good one.

He has an upper-class Spanish accent, so it sounds extra classy.

DS9 turned the Ferengi from the villains that TNG wanted them to be into comic relief, for which they are much more suitable.

Also, Armin Shimerman is a great actor. It's a pity his character on Buffy died before Joss finally figured out how to write TV.

Yeah the Ferengi were awful from day one.  They salvaged them as comic relief, as Haf said, but I have always thought comic relief had no place on a show like this, at least not in such a large-scale way.  Neelix on VGR was a similar bad move.

Yeah. I don't think I would have liked DS9 half as much if it wasn't for Shimerman. (He played Quark; also he played Buffy's high school principal for the first three seasons of the show.) Some of the scenes with him and Auberjonois are just classics.

Anyone who can put up with Torres for seven seasons deserves an award of some kind, and loses the ability to criticize others for that. B-)
