Well, how to not blow up the power keg. I'll say either way it's bullshit, the whole thing is, the situation, and I don't know details, and don't think I'll bother learning them. Disgusting on so many levels, for so many reasons.

Unfortunately, given the lack of evidence, it's really the only verdict they could reach.  It's too bad, because I think there's very little doubt that George Zimmerman was exactly what the prosecution portrayed him as: a wannabe cop who put himself in a situation in which he had no business being.  But that's not a crime.  I wonder what he'll do now?  He'll probably have to move.

This guy, more or less, deserved manslaughter; the prosecution did it all wrong, trying to acuse him of being racist, when he wasn't, or trying to make it into a race thing, which is disgusting, or going after murder charges, when it should have been manslaughter.

 

An unarmed 17 year old kid was killed by a 25 year old stalker with a gun; that's all that matters. Guy is too dangerous to allow into society and deserves to be locked away.

I honestly think, from what I've heard, that the guy reacted in the way you'd expect a guy wielding a gun to react. So I don't see how this could be considered anything more than self defence. If you want to charge him with anything more, you're going to have to question your entire gun legality... thing.

The problem is people get killed every day with illegal guns and nothing happens. This guy owned a legal gun and they make a charade out of it.

That's not really accurate at all.

 

In fact there's no evidence of Zimmerman being racist or the act being about race at all.

 

 

It's more or less an instance of a wanna be cop using his gun for a matter that didn't necessitate it.

The difference is when you use a gun to stop a person trying to kill you or somebody else, and flat out murdering a person for no reason.

 

Self defense =/= murder.

There's really no evidence of that. Even if he did, he didn't attack in a manner that warranted the use of lethal force. If you're a neighborhood watch guy who's going to pursue a suspect, you should at the very least carry pepper spray or a tazer gun, have a baton, wear body armor, know karate, have some means of non-lethal self defense, instead of just attacking a kid with a gun.

 

If a guy was stalking me, following me all day, and then jumped out and demanded I did something, possibly had a gun, and I knocked him over and tried to run away, that would still be the stalker for initiating the contact and everything. It is ridiculous to use lethal force to a situation that does not permit or necessitate it.

 

Furthermore, it is ridiculous to actively take part in a role where you expect to be following and then engaging suspects up close (after which you should clearly determine if they currently possess a firearm in their hand), who might attack you, and not have an alternative means of defense; if you're going to carry a gun in that circumstance, you better carry means of defense up to a gun.

Been watching that case intently over the past few days. I honestly, am just that sick kinda fuck that wanted Zimmerman to go free, just to see some butthurt. lol

 

However, I think that mans life is in more danger than it ever has been...if you live in the south, or have been for a while, you know what I mean. The so called "Black leaders" here have been urging people not to resort to violence...however, knowing how people down here in the south are, they're gonna resort to violence whether it be now or next week or next month. Someone, is planning to hurt Zimmerman, or lash out against the Hispanic community.
