I hate to add fuel to the fire, but I am, Prince Vegeta.
Anyway though, I only read page 10, so I'm only going to comment on this thing between Haf and Red. Haf, you to me are a really nice guy. Nice people are cool. Although, the way I see it, sometimes one can be too nice. This...Tolerance...stuff. I don't know how to explain how I feel about tolerance since, there are things that can be and cannot be tolerated, but I will try. When I look at the human race, as a whole, I see...a lot of kids. Children with amazing imagination but very little insight on what matters. People want to be nice to each other, but there's that one thing that won't let them. People want to live in an amazing world where everyone can be at the least satisfied with life, but everyone has a different way of obtaining or viewing a life like that. This part of humanity, is self-destructive. The only way, one would be able to have their way, is if they did away with anyone who had an issue with it, which people have tried and failed at.
However now, we have this thing, Tolerance. We want to try to coexist, as a race, together, but divided. Division, is death. Tolerated division, is surely death, since humanity as a whole can't sit with that. You can try, but never will all of humanity be able to do that, unless it was programmed.
Which is why, I see things like this...and it's pretty simple. I don't tolerate things that hurt humanities development. Things that slow it, stop it, or change it's course to our detriment. Now, Religion played an important part in EARLY development. It helped build civilization, it gave the motivation to be great. However Religion is like a pair of crutches. You use them, to help you get along when you can't really do much. However once you're all good to go, and you can stand on your own, you put down the crutches, and you walk on. You would be setting yourself back, if you used crutches all your life, even while you can move just fine. You could run faster, perform different maneuvers, jumping, climbing, all that good stuff. Although, people today, most of the human race, still walk around with crutches, when they can easily walk on their own two feet.
Another thing, religion has done while persisting outside of its usefulness, is cause the division, that has been causing a lot of death, and a lot of setback. This group thinks they're right because this book said so. This other group is the same way. This group here thinks they are correct because they saw a goat doing a handstand. This group here wants others to believe their shit so they can make a pretty penny. It's a big mess. However we have the group, that, doesn't say their right until they can prove it. They are responsible for a ton of progress, and have strived to make life easier for everyone. I like the guys who try to make life better for me, and actually show me their work, instead slapping an old book on the table, and expecting me to believe without actually thinking about it for a good time. The scientists, are doing their job, of discovering, and finding new innovation, and trying to get us to new breakthroughs in knowledge. The Religions of today aren't putting out any new content...no innovative tech anymore. Everything that Religion was capable of bringing about, has been brought forth, it's played its part, and has now been surpassed.
Now if I have offended anyone so far, then that someone isn't reading and understanding what I'm putting forth here. I'm not saying I hate you. I'm not saying you're an idiot because you're not. No one here is stupid. I don't even think honestly anyone on the planet is stupid. Like in their right mind, kinda stupid. Humans are extremely intelligent, but we have this weakness called, emotions, which drives us to want to feel good, and we put down logic because not all logic and reasoning feels good. Religion can make folks feel secure, make them have hope, but what people need to also realize, what feels good, may not always be good for you. It's like, really good fast food. It tastes great, but it's destroying you on the inside and you only ever realize it, when science comes in and says, hey, you're hurting yourself, here's why, and here's a way to fix it, and here's another way to prevent it from occurring again.
Now I hope that little bit of me didn't anger anyone, I really hope it changed the mood in here, because as me, being an atheist, I really dislike, when others whom also go by as such, go about explaining their reasoning with anger. Anger drives folks away, but I like to sell my stuff with a picture of a happy face taped to my face.
