In most any large chain, your work experience will vary based on who your manager is. It sounds like Thrash has a pretty good manager.
There's multi-levels of managers, there's 1 main manager head honcho, then there's 2 co-managers, then there's a chunk of assistant managers, then a chunk of support managers, then dep't managers then people...
and yes, I do have great managers.. it's weird for people to notice your effort, haven't had that in my entire working life.. as far as notice, i mean notice and then offer something for it, not just like "oh u do a good job" and then nothing like fu..
one of the co-mgrs is the one who recommended me for all the higher up positions and recognizes my work all the time.. he's kinda new, been there about 6 months.. he moved from the same position in another store to ours.. promoting within and moving people and keeping their talent is something they do really well.. i've never worked for a company so structured in my life. they just need to stop hiring useless people. it may take a while, but for every 5 interviews for a $10/hr job, you'll find at least one who will work for that money.
btw, the support manager job would raise me to $13/hr going to $15 on feb 20 cuz of mininum wage boost bullshit. i dont want it though cuz id rather work then walk around and make sure people are working at this point. tired, working for too long now, need tedious.
the funniest part is i prob don't do a super awesome job, it's just that most others do a really shitty job
Weird, I have 4 co-managers
