[The Dark Empire]

So sadly I haven't really done anything with the storm. But I decided I'm going to take my time and be patient. Not sure what to do though. I don't want to weird her out because I'm still not sure whether or not she likes me. Some weird things have happened that I've noticed. Sone support the fact she may like me some contradict it. On Monday during homeroom announcements I noticed her watching me for a long time and she even joined in one of my conversations with a friend. Then today it felt like she was making it a point to ignore me.

Sigh

I'm just trying to play it cool and act a little indifferent. See how things go.

But I'm trying to make moves but I don't think they are working too well. Maybe she knows and is messing with me. Like I said I think I started out a little too fast. Maybe she figured it out and wants to stay a little aloof for now.

You know I want to but last time I tried to move too quickly with a girl I liked it blew up in my face. I'm trying to respond to her in the best way possible. I feel like she is almost testing me by ignoring me after she pays a lot of attention to me. When she was staring at me I caught her eye then returned to putting my books away. When I turned back she was still watching me even though her friends had gotten up and left. Today I tried talking to her and I got short answers. Sometimes she just randomly starts talking and I turn and see she is trying to talk to me. Sometimes she talks as if I'm not present in a group setting. I'm going to be patient even though I don't want to. I want to see if this ignoring thing changes first.

All right I went pretty big this week (haven't actually asked her out yet though). So we were going to a marching band competition that was two hours away on Saturday. Usually the bus trips are never this long so it was a rare opportunity. Also, these were coach buses. So I get on the bus earlyish and I plop my stuff down in a two seater. On a coach bus both sides have only two seats. So she was already set up two rows behind me. I was like shit wow I should have got on the bus earlier. But then we started talking about how there may not be enough seats. She says "Well this could be awkward because I usually like to sit by myself." I immediately seize this opportunity and say to her "I usually sit by myself two but I guess this time we should sit together to make space." She says sure. So like I said this is a two hour bus ride. I purposely sit in the aisle seat...Why? To to cut her off from the rest of the bus so she can only really talk to me. So we start going...originally I only really talked to her in group conversations. Then the rest of the bus got distracted and it was mainly me just talking to her. We talked about stuff and I made her laugh a few times. Then it turned into a karaoke thing where they all sang T-Swift songs. I'm like screw this and I whip out my ipod. I don't find T-Swift all that interesting and I'm not going to pretend I do to impress anyone.

So a couple of songs in she gets the song she was requesting. So like all girls she naturally has all the lyrics memorized so she sings it out loud. At the end of the song I take my headphones out my ears, look into her eyes and say, "You know, you have a really pretty voice." She immediately starts beaming (I mean beaming) and says the classic "Really?". I say "Yes I really love to listen to you sing." She responds, "Oh Jamie" then gives me a big hug. I don't mean to brag or nothing but I give a mean hug (old ladies love me). Things immediately picked up after that. We talked more and she seemed a little more interested. She initiated most of the conversations.

So we get off the bus and go to the bathroom. I was the last out because I was limping and I didn't run to the bathroom. Guess who got left behind and needed someone to walk back with (buddy system is enforced)...Cailley of course. So...I'm like let's go and we walk back together and we talk some more. Things are going great.

So when we are about to go on we are waiting at the gate in lines of five. I take up the back by myself because I am hurt and can't march. There is a noisy generator right beside us. So I'm waiting when out of no where you know who and a friend show up next to me. "Yeah it is so noisy and smelly where we were so we decided to move." Ok so yeah granted she had an excuse to stand with me but she could have gone anywhere else. She had plenty of friends nearby but instead came to me. Score

So we get on the bus for the two hour ride back. It's eleven thirty at night. We have all been up since seven that morning. We are all pooped. I'm not a bus sleeper though but everyone else was. So Cailley tells me she is going to try and sleep. Originally she curls up against the window. I'm like come on just fall asleep and lean to the right. Eventually she does. She is sleeping on my shoulder. I'm just being still and letting her lean on me. We are touching and it feels really good. Then she wakes up but doesn't move back to the window. It is not weird and it feels natural. She is not weirded out by the fact she was sleeping on my shoulder. She falls asleep again but then we tak a sharp turn and she moves away. She wakes up for a little bit and puts on a sweatshirt and stuff. Then she kind of takes this cross legged position and puts part of her leg on my lap. No problemo. Finally we get back and I wake her and say "Did you enjoy your sleep." I then get her stuff for her and we go home.

So hears my final plan. I like the position I'm in right now. I've definitely hinted that I like her and I think it has definitely come across her mind. So what will I do? I'm going to keep up what I'm doing. I haven't made it absolutely clear to her that I'm interested. I don't follow her around like other guys. I do my own thing and when she is nearby I involve her. I am going to make a move soon. Things are climaxing and I think soon the apple will be ripe to pick. And it will come as a relief to her too. If I have been successful she will be waiting for me and thinking about me.
