Deplorables, not degenerates. But even the focus on that comment strikes me as more "bubble-think." After all the nasty things that Donald Trump said on the campaign trail it comes off as extremely hypocritical to focus on Clinton's "deplorables" comment so much. First of all, it was a pretty soft put-down, if you can even call it that. "Basket of deplorables?" Ooh. Burn. But more to the point, why is it okay for Donald Trump to lob insults but not Hillary Clinton?
Deplorable, degenerate... Pretty much the same if not similar meaning.
You have some double standards, when one side claims to take the morale high ground then it is held to a higher regard and held to account when it then does and say the very same things its meant to be better than.
These protests are happening because people are legitimately scared. If it had gone the other way, and Trump's supporters were out there protesting, maybe their feelings would be legitimate too. If we're so far gone that we can't even agree on that, then this country is doomed.
Scared of what? The propaganda has been so good that the people end up believing their own material.
The difference between Trump and Clinton, whichever got the office is that Clinton would of had the support needed to do things.... Trump on the other hand had right up to election had a massive Republican party revolt on his hands...
Explain what damage a president can do when the opposition and government is against him?
He has to tone things down to appease his party to be able to pass stuff through congress.
Some liberals think he will be Hitler incarnate and assume total power of the government and be able to do what he wants and that my friend is what some of these protesters have bought into... A delusion.
