personally i dont count ren and stimpy as a classic....good series just not quite a classic in my eyes....yet

Tom & Jerry really pissed me off as a kid because the cat was portrayed as the villain, but he was just doing his job. Jerry is a thief. He is literally there to STEAL Tom's owner's food. Jerry should be the badguy.

If we're talking cartoons, this one was seminal to my development:

 

 

The show was an anime called Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, but it was re-dubbed by its American distributor, changing the characters' names and backgrounds and generally making it more kid-friendly. One character had all his dialog replaced with nonsensical bloops and bleeps. This version was called Battle of the Planets and was only available in the American Northeast in the '70s and '80s.

I'm glad with the Internet new ideas/people with otherwise less prevalent ideas can find and hear each other.

I never liked Jerry. That show was boring/pissed me off. I loved the movie though. Yes where they talked. Sue me.

Also the one short where he watches the baby dog and paints him. Feathers him. And then Tom is put in the washing machine. Still dislike Jerry, but I had that on VHS, so I watched it a lot/wasn't as bad as most other Tom+Jerries.

well according to actual tom and jerry canon they always talked and were well aware that each other could talk.... other than that whoopsie daisy i think the movie is great. Love the cameo by Droopy too.

I can't (readily) find the quote, but someone said something to the effect of, the beauty of the internet, is that if you want to do anything, you can always find someone that shares that with you. If you want to reenact the Boston Tea Party dressed as Star Wars troopers, you can find the 2 other people in the world to do that with.
