So after many weeks of waiting to be accepted and registered into this virtual system, I am now...well in the system. It's much more simple than what the "instructions" imply. However, the communication methods are quite different then what I would've thought they were, but of course, this is the beginning of everything and stuff just needs to fall in place.
I'm quite excited about the fact that I can pretty much "go to school" whenever I'd like, however they require 30-40 minutes time on each subject, which is very much less than my old classes that I'd go to in person. I have all of the content for the entire semester at my disposal, so I can pretty much finish everything before the semester is even through, so that's great. Overall I like it. The only con is being able to talk to my instructors. They have a variety of ways to talk to them, which is good, but the design of the site that I have to use is what makes it weird. For example, they have an area called topic discussion or something similar, and it's kinda like a forum, but the way it's designed is so weird it's hard to really navigate and find things. It's not like this forum at all...they need to revamp it a bit.
I also hate that the site only really works efficiently when using FireFox...
Or....IE.
I barely use FF on my laptop anymore, mainly because I like Chromes speed. But I don't mind FF, it's still a good browser, just lacks speed. I even hacked some of the "guts" of FF, which made it faster, but even Chrome is better after doing all of that.
So yeah...This will be an interesting experience.
So...online school.
