Hopefully we can maintain good standing with Russia, but this was long overdue.

This is bullshit. It's a false flag. The "rebels" are the ones who gassed the people, not Assad. Should've known when Kushner went to the middle east (for what reason??) that this was going to happen. Getting really disappointed with Trump.

Because he was winning the war, he had the upper hand...    he had all chemical weapons decommed back the last time this happened. The UN even verified this. What did he have to gain?

Do you really think I'm alt-right, Justa?

He probably figured he could get away with it again by blaming the rebels like he did last time? Only the same thing 10 times in a row can't be a coincidence anymore?

Also he might not have decomissioned all of his weapons given they only know what he showed the U.N. inspectors who left early after being shot at, and Assad may have seen it as necessary to kill off an entrenched enemy given that Sarin gets in through openings in a pill box that a bomb would't be able to get through. He's also a crazy person so why would we expect him to use logic? It's like saying "Why would Kim Jong Ill...", he's a crazy person. Why would he start massacring his people in the first place?

Basically, the only reason why it might not be him would be that it wouldn't be strategically advantageous (not due to any real evidence, like video evidence of rebels secretly taking over a government chemical missile),but when would it have ever been? Both times U.N. inspectors confirmed it was Sarin, and very high quality sarin, which requires government-level resources to use, given it's inherent complexity. That is it needs to be mixed in mid-air and the released at the opportune time to function which requires sophisticated guidance systems and computers, aware of the trajectory of the missile beforehand.

For clarity: Kushner went to Iraq, not Syria.

Middle-East is Middle-East, same clusterfuck. Bannon didn't wan't this, hence his demotion shortly after the visit by Kushner. Both are at odds with eachother. Trump needs to decide whether or not he wants to support the US or support Zionism. He's heading towards the latter, which is why my support is waning.

"Syrian Rebels gassed themselves to make Assad look bad, using Syrian military equipment and syrian military soldiers, even though Assad already looks bad and they don't need to gas themselves!"

Seems legit. Â¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe Assad is a bad guy and he's doing bad things. The missiles coming from Syrian territory into rebel held territory to target key areas he hasn't been able to bomb due to their bunkers, is a part of his strategy. Or maybe it was all a part of the rebel's plan to kill themselves! In an attempt to get international outrage for Assad killing hundreds of thousands of people and brutally repressing his own people; fake an atrocity instead of just propagate the real tragedies. In a way that would be almost technologically impossible for them. It's the perfect plan!

Whatever. Bottom line is that peace was in the crosshairs and god forbid there be any peace. How would Boeing and Raytheon make any money?

Wars rarely make much money for manufacturers. You'd be better off looking towards food companies being motivated, seeing as how most of our money is spent on logistics in wars and not weapons.

Our military equipment was bought like 20-40 years ago, if you look at our aircraft and so on. It wasn't bought during the war, and our largest military arms build up in history was the cold war, where we didn't even fire a single shot. People buy military equipment in anticipation of a military conflict, not during one. That would be like buying a gun during a robbery; you don't wait until you're being mugged to buy a gun, you have to have it before hand, especially if you want to be trained and skilled with it.

Furthermore, there's still the option we will have peace with Russia. And there was no peace in Syria with or without the U.S.'s involvement. The war was going on before we bombed the air base in Syria. And it will continue after; only, with a war, there's a chance it might end.

People always try to say that the U.S. is responsible for all the casualties in all the wars we've ever been in. But if you look, they usually occur long before our invasion. Is the deaths of all those innocent people in Syria now our fault just because we invade now, 6 years after the civil war has started? Uh, no, and you'd have to be a moron to think that's the case.

I actually hate CNN and the SJW types. Many would probably consider me a conservative what with me wanting everyone to own guns and all that and thinking that all of society isn't racist, even though I'm closer to a moderate.

I just try and see reality how it is.

Fighting identity politics with identity politics is not the solution. Even Milo Yiannopoulos agrees with that.

It always amazes me though how people in 1st world countries fall for 3rd world propaganda though.

If I may, here's something both 'philosophical' and concise/pragmatic enough, to be used as an ingredient in the discussion.

Gee, suddenly there's barrel bombs and white phosphorus. Wonder when Trump's gonna fire some missiles at Israel for using the same.
