So I'm playing a game, specifically, Red Alert 3. It runs pretty normal on my Desktop, and gets kinda slow sometimes but it's manageable. During a skirmish or whatever, I was kicking ass, next thing you know, I see a sudden boost of performance. The game just went SSJ or something, then after that epic performance boost, it crashes. Long beep noise, then dies.

Anyone ever experience this when they game? I feel like I'm posting on a tech forum. :)

Maybe it was background processes that slowed t down and then they stopped/crashed then that caused your problem.

That isn't the reason I'd say but I wanted to post and say something constructive before I went;

I've just started playing it too, snap!! :)

I'm pretty sure it isn't over heating. If it were, I would have detected that through the shitload of trouble shooting I did.

Temps are fine, on all components. :)

I've done that, just gotta wait until my dad plays a game and it crashes on him. If not, then we're good.

If you are still having trouble, try doing a clean boot with msconfig. That will free up all kinds of resources.

When in doubt, run a virus scan. And a malware scan.
