Why's it got to be the black horses holding up the shield?

I'm not sure how I like the outcome, but here it is:

Yeah, you're right, it didn't come out the way I imagined.  I just thought three white horses seemed too repetitive, maybe.  And the one on the flag is back, so...

Maybe the opposite would work — the side horses stay white, the one in the middle black?  Or maybe it should just be the round horse/crest in the middle?

Better, sorta. The compartment causes an optical illusion whereby centering it (as I have here) the roundel looks too low on the shield, but if I were to raise it, it'd make the rays in the background look off-kilter, which looks even worse. Although I do kinda like it, it's not properly heraldic, which irritates me.

Personally, I still prefer the white horse of Kent. I do get where you're coming from with it looking a bit repetitive, and that was part of the reason I made design №3, with Dawny as one of the supporters. However, since it's of a different style to the other horses, I don't think it's that big of a deal anyway.

I kinda of like the last one. Can you get me an SVG of just the shield with the roundel (no stars and no stripes on the shield, just purple, so normal Invicta), and one of the shield, etc I just asked for with the Inivcta thing underneath?

I assume you wanted the PNG, not the SVG source, but I can get it for you if you want. Do note that the gradient is different than it is on our flag, since it doesn't fade to black on the bottom.

Well what I was meaning by SVG is so that we could scale it easily, I guess that would have to be uploaded to the Wiki to do that?

That would be the simplest way, yes. If you had the SVG you could also export in any size from Inkscape, but the wiki's as simple as throwing the dimensions in the URL.

Agreed, I think the last one looks terrific (with the roundel).  Let's go with that one for the Lord Protector's arms, and then use the simplifies shield/shield with ribbons for variants and other official communications.

 

I'd really like to thank Madame Anastasia/MvP for all the time and effort s/he has been putting in on these projects.  We are very, very lucky to have such talented people here at Invicta!

I have taken some time to write a detailed description of the arms, which can be viewed here. As this topic also links to the Wiki-hosted SVGs, any need to scale any of the arms for any reason can pretty much be done through there. Nascar knows what I'm talking about, even if he's the only one.
