Validity unknown, but

https://www.washingt...moke-marijuana/

Basically Sen. Jeff Sessions seems to be the pick for the Trump Administration Attorney General position, and he thinks Marijuana is bad, and only bad people smoke it. This can't be good for the current legalization effort.

If this is true... yeah that's pretty funny xD

I thought you were anti-pot. What made you change your mind? Did we switch places?

I decided two things:

  1. I'm not in the business of having children
  2. What other people do is not my business, and none of my social circle would touch the stuff anyway.

So while I still hate the stuff, I don't actually think I'd be affected by it.

I can respect that. But the question I must ask is would you be wiling to support people (via your money) who do it? Would you hire someone who does it? Going from working jobs all my life with people close to me age or older to working a job with people who are mostly younger has changed my stance. I see the affect it has on work ethic.

As someone who works with people older than and younger than myself, and they all smoke weed, I can say that more than likely it's all relative.

All my co-workers bust major all all day long.

Then again, most of us don't smoke before work.

Yea, but in my case, I see the pack of people (close to half of my shift) go out at lunch time, come back high as fuck and do nothing but stand around and talk for the rest of the day. Not to mention showing up late every day, high as fuck then sitting in the break room to eat their munchies after they punch in.

They have their priorities all wrong.

Amateurs.

No, I'd probably not hire someone who does. But then again, in most cases I'd doubt I'd know they do. If I do, that's cause they've been dumb and told me during the interview, or showed up high anyway (in which case it's the same as if you showed up drunk). Traditional alcoholic views apply. Don't get high at work, don't get high before work, don't talk about stupid stoner shit at work. If your KPI's go down cause of your habit, you're going to get replaced. etc etc.

Basically, if it's legalized, I doubt I'll be interacting with people who use it. But then again, I don't drink, and my displeasure with people who do to excess around me generally gets them to change their behavior while I'm present anyway. So I don't think it'll matter in my social circles.

Seems like management needs to pull its finger out of its arse and start showing "workers" the door.

It's Walmart, what do you expect? I said we were going to suffer when they stopped drug testing applicants and that's exactly what happened.

You don't need drug tests to sack people with abysmal time keeping and unauthorised break taking.
