What if those 1,400 ants shared a collective hive mind with superintelligence?
I'd eat that ingelligence for breakfast. The intelligence of the things I eat has no bearing on my ability to eat said thing.
Unless you mean, what if they fought back. Or ran away? No, ants, at least 1,400 of them, while scary, are still no match for a human. Now if they were biting ants (again just 1,400) I'd have more of a problem, but without an element of surprise, I could 1v1 those ants. The difference in ability there is just too great. I'm not saying numbers or intelligence (or self defense/offensive mechanics like stings) aren't a factor, but not enough in those numbers to kill a human (Again without an element of surprise/bad timing or tactics).
Just my opinion though. I mean, hell, a single bee could send an 18 wheeler of a bridge. And not before hitting 4 other cars, WITH CHILDREN. Mass murdering bees. I swear.
