In light of recent deaths of celebrities, i decided to start this thread to kinda keep track.
Well weve had two great legends die this week..... 3 legends in the past 18 days... that im aware of of course.
whats interesting is the similarities of those particular 3 individuals
Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie, Alan Rickman
All English
all died of cancer
all had very successful careers
Bowie turned 69 two days before his death, his last album, BlackStar, was released on 1/8/16
Lemmy turned 70 four days before his death, his last album with Motorhead, Bad Magic, was released on 8/28/15 (sorry too lazy to use the special characters)
Snape wouldve been 70 in about 40 days, his last film, Alice Through the Looking Glass, will hit theaters 05/27/16.

Lemmy seems like an outlier to me. I know who Mötörhead is, of course, but I wouldn't have known their front man's name before he died. I wouldn't put him on the same level of celebrity as David Bowie (who, to be fair, is in the rare upper stratosphere of celebrity with the likes of Mick Jagger) or even Alan Rickman (who was much more widely known as a result of the Harry Potter movies). David Bowie was a genius; Mötörhead was loud.
69-70 seems way too young to die nowadays, especially given that all of these people were wealthy (Lemmy Kilmister net worth $10 million, David Bowie $230 million, Alan Rickman $16 million) and could afford the best medical care. Still, if a magical wish-granting gnome offered me the opportunity to live David Bowie's life, but with the stipulation that I would die at 69, I'd take that deal.
Blackstar is terrific, by the way.
