I discovered the other day that there are in fact differences in how people count on their fingers. After discussing this with Phate and King William, I've decided to make a poll to judge how the differences play out across our forums.

Everyone who counts higher than ten on their fingers needs to learn to count in binary.

If I had to count higher than 10 on my fingers I'd probably use the right to count 1-10 and then extend a left finger to mark 10 and start over.  Sort of like an abacus.  That would get me to 50 anyway.  But I can't remember the last time I counted that high on fingers.  Anything over 10 I'd probably just count in my head.

Hehe... well, 1 through 10 I count in decimal, then 11 through 1023 I count binary.

Although generally above about 20 I go to mental counting, where I can get up to an 8 digit number.
