Since this has proven to be such a fiery topic in the main Chat Room, it seemed an appropriate poll subject.  I have been surprised at the level of pro-Russian sympathy to be found here in Invicta, so I thought we'd measure just how high it really is.

The question is simple:  In the current international fracas over Crimea, whose side are you on?  And there's no staying out of it; you must choose one or the other.

  • Russia's annexation of Crimea is a glorious victory for Mother Russia, righting a historical wrong and returning the Crimean people to their homeland.
  • Russia's annexation is a violation of international law and the sovereignty of the Ukrainian nation.  Crimea rightfully belongs to Ukraine.

Regardless of which way I voted, aren't the two choices a bit.. basically, "glorious mother russia"? Jesting aside, it's not quite fair to demand one or the other, and then so drastically paint one side with negative conotations, thereby, regardless of intent, giving a better chance to the second option (or no vote) for more 'independent' voters.

stuff. thangs.

This is the most unnecessary poll ever. It's not like we've not all made our opinions abundantly clear in all the other topics anyway.

I wanted numbers; I was curious.

"Don't care" option deleted.  If you don't care, don't vote.  Or start your own poll.  :P

As for it being one-sided, it's kind of a one-sided situation.  But the numbers don't bear out the impression one gets from reading the thread, which is that Invicta is a hotbed of pro-Russian sentiment!  Heh.

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot it's not Soviet Russia. Right.
