Stark is the 'start' of the show, and shown in a very positive light, etc.

Winter is Coming

I believe they're more going at it from the angle of which is the coolest, rather than which they would like to rule. (But who says you wouldn't want to rule the one you think is the coolest? coolest. Cool. The North is cold. I'm going to stop now)

Someone doesn't know about Randyll Tarly or Mathis Rowan in the Reach, or Courtnay Penrose in the Stormlands, or Yohn Royce in the Vale, or Darkstar in Dorne, or the Cleganes in the Westerlands, or Victarion and Euron Greyjoy in the Iron Islands.  The Riverlands don't have anyone interesting though
