R2D2 because it seems like the language is so efficient. Having so much meaning within a series of 2-3 bleeps and whatnot.

Parseltongue, cause then I can talk to snakes, and maybe control some.

Seems legit. xP

Or other, for some other kind of language.

Maybe "animal" or "universal".

Doctor who's alien stuff.

Elvish should be Elvish (Tolkien) not Elvish (LoTR) because he uses it all over the place in his writing. Also definitely that one. B-)

I voted Klingon. The juncture of geek street cred and pop culture clout is too irresistible to pass up.

Luckily Rosetta Stone agrees with me. In fact it was seeing a story about this that made me think of this poll question.

I do have the Klingon Dictionary. Also I have an absolutely hilarious audio recording of Michael Dorn doing Conversational Klingon - i.e. Klingon for tourists. B-)

I would have to say Klingon because I like the idea of having a Bird of Prey with all the consoles in their proper language.

There is more than one Elvish language in LoTR.

Sindarin and Eldarin are the two main languages, with many other dialects in between.

I can already speak Newspeak (double-plus good too might I add), so voted Klingon.

Klingon bird of prey:

I think the in-universe explanation is that they cribbed the design and name from the Romulans.

I thought the Romulan ship was a Warbird, and Klingons have the Bird of Prey.

The Romulan ship was called both.

Klingons initially only had battlecruisers. The Bird of Prey appears after the Romulan alliance, when the Romulans give them cloaking devices.

Birds of Prey and Warbirds are two different classes of ships. Romulans used both; Klingons only used Birds of Prey. By TNG you didn't see Romulans using Birds of Prey any more. And that's my Trekkie moment for the day. :)

Henceforth, Haf, you shall be known as "Jon Snow" for reasons which should be obvious to most people.

What I get from this is that Haf likes to look like he knows more about things than other people, and doesn't care if he has to be wrong and contradict himself later in the conversation to do so. :v
