I ask the people of Invicta, what is your favorite music genre?

The Alternative category covers ANYTHING alternative, Alternative Rock, Alternative Pop, so on and so forth.

I like jazz, blues, hip-hop, electronica. Sadly, all I ever seem to listen to is children's music, since I have a three year old and nine month old.

I object to the inclusion of rap on that survey. Rap is not music.

It's hard to pick just one favorite song. A lot depends on what kind of mood you happen to be in at the moment. And your tastes can change over time. When the B-52s album "Cosmic Thing" first came out I hated it with a passion that verged on psychotic. A few years later it was one of my favorites.

So, yeah, just one favorite is tough. But I guess if I had to pick just one, it would have to be "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees. God help me, I love that song. It might be the only song I never skip over when it comes up on the iPod's shuffle feature!

I really can't pick a favorite genre. For a similar thread on another forum, I put together a YouTube playlist to showcase a selection of my favorites. It's missing a number of videos that have since been deleted, made private, etc., but it should still give you an idea.

I like power metal, hence why my favorite song is panzerkampf by Sabaton.

I do not endorse the Soviet Union here, I just like the song. Also the Soviet Union actually tried killing some of my family members back in the 40's.
