The people who make milk designs on the top of coffees.

Suddenly I have this image of people with stirsticks making pretty patterns in lattes. Surely this is not what you mean.

No they don't use sticks, or well, they might.. but it's how they pour the milk in from the canister and make a fancy design on top. Again, why does this job exist?

 

Red, anyone can make coffee. The machines do the work. This job is specficially for making the coffee look pretty. You make as though these people are hand grinding the beans, etc. All they do is a push a button that says "Start". Oh wait, they also fill the machine with coffee and water.

Not what they do here. We have complicated, lever operated machines that require finesse and skill to operate properly. They need a full six month course to become a barista, and it can take a lifetime to become a good one. I know through experience that the barista can make or break the flavour, and I'm sure any coffee addict would agree with me.

I find it hard to believe that coffee in Australia every day is only costing you $3/wk.

$3 for 1 coffee, that's even worse. I buy a tub of Folgers for $3 which makes 12 cups/day and lasts for a week.

I know people who drink over six cups a day. One of the respects in which I am un-Canadian is my dislike of coffee, holy god we have some people who just pour it down up here.

yea, I'll never understand people who drink it in the afternoon and evening. Coffee serves one purpose to me, wake me up in the morning. don't get me wrong, I love it and can't go w/o it, but still the people who drink it all day when you could be drinking beer instead is just beyond me.

I don't drink coffee I drink Energy Drinks/ Caffeine pills. (only once a day)

 

I just don't like the taste of coffee.
