So which show(s) do you like the best? Why?
What shows are you excited to see that are coming soon? What do you think will be a hit/flop?
What shows do you think they should bring back/reboot?
What comic book characters do you think they should make a show about that currently doesnt have a show(canceled or currently airing)?

[Keep in mind i left out animated shows on purpose, because its alot easier to make an animated superhero show on my opinion because it allows you to avoid certain limitations in making it that you would run into making a live-action version]

I like CW's The Flash alot. I think it was well cast and has great character development and story lines.

Im really looking forward to Iron Fist. I've always thought an Iron Fist show or movie would be very successful.

I really wanna see a new Wonder Woman T.V. show...or maybe even Power Girl. Also i think that Green Lantern would do better on T.V. or that sort of format..

I like The Flash and S.H.I.E.L.D. for different reasons.

The Flash reminds me of when I was a geeky kid in the 70s and I loved the comic book then. It's like the comic book. So when I watch it I feel like I'm eight years old again, without schoolyard bullies and all the other stuff that was so bad about being eight.

S.H.I.E.L.D. is a slightly above-average Whedon show. I like his style, he has faults but even his worst show (Firefly) has things going for it. Still, I'd rather be watching Dollhouse.

Gotham and The Arrow do not merit discussion.

Superheroes? Left out animated series? Well it just so happens that the only thing I give a crap about is animated. Behold!

Fuck everything else.

Well, it's getting so that there's so much CGI in S.H.I.E.L.D. that it kinda counts as animated.

As much as I love superheroes and comic books, most live-action superhero TV shows leave me meh. Daredevil was good, although it was a little disappointing that he didn't actually become DAREDEVIL until the last few minutes of the last episode. I'm looking forward to season two. And Wonder Woman was always a favorite when I was a little kid. Love me some Lynda Carter. But all in all most superhero TV shows have been disappointing. I'm not even sure I'd count Agents of SHIELD since there aren't actually any superheroes in it. And while Jessica Jones is pretty good, she's not actually a superhero, she's just a private investigator with super strength. And even THAT isn't really all that impressive since she hardly ever uses it.

I tried to watch the current version of The Flash but found it too boring — he's never actually the Flash. They should just call the show Barry Allen. And that, I think, is the biggest problem with superhero TV shows. They don't spend enough time with the characters in costume. I don't care about their home lives — if I wanted an ordinary domestic drama I'd watch an ordinary domestic drama. Same thing with always taking their masks off. I know the actors want their faces seen but get over yourselves. People want to see Spider-Man and Captain America, not Peter Parker and Steve Rogers.

Huh? I am not sure which The Flash you were watching. He spends more time in costume than out of it. Of course much of the time he's in costume he's just a red blur, but that's the nature of his superpower.

There have been a few regular Asgard-type superheroes as guest stars on S.H.I.E.L.D. but I think the Daisy/Skye character has to count as a superhero now. I mean, she has telekinesis on a rather staggering scale. And there are definite supervillains on the show.

The show is also so stupidly full of gadgets as to make half the agents seem like Iron Man-style superheroes.

The Skye character (I still resist calling her Daisy, it sounds so gigantically inappropriate; it would be like calling Ripley Daisy) is the main reason I watch the show. She is by far the most interesting character and also the most talented actress. One of Joss' strengths is casting talented women; for some reason he often seems to fail at casting men, but at least Clark Gregg is good and Iain De Caestecker is alright. I am glad that Brett Dalton's character turned out to be a traitor, because it means he gets less screentime, but I wish Joss would hurry up and kill him off already so we don't have to deal with any more of Agent Wooden.

I have a theory that one of the reasons why Dollhouse was so good was because all of its leads were female, and thus Joss gave us a good cast.

Yeah Flash is really really good. especially with its interpretation of the comics. Gotham is..... interesting. Though it has no super heroes per say  it does have villains.... pretty good ones too.  Though its fair to say that, in a way, its a glorified cop show. The only episodes of Arrow i watch have the flash in it, but otther than that i just cant seem to get into it. I watched 1 episode of S.H.E.I.L.D. and said nay nay. Daredevil was decent enough. havent gotten around to more though

My Little Brother is really into Arrow. I've never seen it. I was talking about the current Flash. Maybe I just saw a couple of bad episodes. I am not opposed to giving it another chance. Any Flash watchers want to suggest a place to start? Don't say the beginning because that's what I did last time. Is there a specific episode or arc that was especially good?

One of things I like about the current crop of superhero and related TV programming is that these characters do not exist in a bubble. In past superhero shows the superhero character was almost always the only superhero in the world. The Marvel shows routinely reference the existence of other super-beings. The DC shows all appear to take place in the same universe. That kind of thing adds depth that old superhero shows could not capture.

The Flash is a typical post-Buffy show, in that it has only one story arc per season. First season was the Reverse Flash story arc, now it's the Zoom/Earth 2 story arc.

Episode 13 is probably where The Flash hit its stride in season 1. The early stuff, you had to really be a fan of the comic to keep watching, especially the painfully awful crossover with Arrow. What is it with the cast of Arrow? They all seem like drama school rejects. Really, ridiculously bad acting.

The Marvel shows all derive from the Avengers movies.

yeah, haf is right. Flash, ironically, didn't speed up til about episode 13. The finale of season one was dope as fuck. and it feeds into season 2 really well. Season 2 is pretty cool as well and the Arrow crossover episodes for season 2 arent as bad as season 1. But mainly because it starts to set up legends of tomorrow by introducing 2 of the heroes for that show and the Main antagonist for Legends of Tomorrow as well.

Can there be a none option? Superheroes are way too over saturated now. They've become the new zombies.

Legends of Tomorrow is sadly crap. Which is kinda what I was expecting, but it's such a waste of a good character in Firestorm.
