its because money is easy to get and it is game time. If I wanted to I could grind down a couple plexes in a day. But then I would hate myself.

I was almost able to get my wife interested in playing EVE until she saw lowsec...

To be fair lowsec isnt always like that, but usually the worst kind of people choose to be down there. It is just something about lowsec that attracts jerks and those jerks have no issue going out of their way to be a jerk. Usually in WH space and null people kill you and its over. In low sec they will insult you while killing you and sometimes even throw messages after the fact. It has also been a majority of my experience that the dwellers of low don't like fair fights and will only ever fight you if they know you are out numbered or are positive that they will win.

I wouldn't until you get a hang of the game. Or get someone to give you a buddy link so you can get the accelerated training. The first month of the game is really... Limited, no matter what account type you will have. I'll shoot you some money or some crappy ships if you start playing though.
