I forget sometimes how steep the mission contact curve is.
I was walking through my level 1 contact's missions with my first destroyer.
So I grabbed some social skills to boost my rep and all the sudden a level 3 contact opened up.
I grabbed the first mission they gave, went to the deadspace complex, and got run off by the npcs.
It took four passes, but I did clear them out.
Still without running to a station for repairs, and cutting it almost too close once, I would have been clobbered.

It happens though, lol. Just a few weeks back I got distracted by a meeting on teamspeak and let some rats scram and web me down in a nullsec ratting anom. In a ship probably worth about 10 times your cormorant, lol.

RIP my VNI

I managed to nuke the tackle and was less than a second from warping when I died... Meh I never really liked VNI ratting anyhow, lol.

In all fairness, the repper was like "oh, hey, I have this laying around, its not really worth taking up to highsec, it fits on this and maybe I can use it to rep my praetors if they get armor damage"

I can give you a better t2 fit that will tank most anoms. Dunno how it would work in provi with all the nueters but should be fine

Lol!  More like 100 times as expensive than my cormorant, but yeah, the game is like that.

Hours where you could have your back to the machine while your toon safely does its thing, and then a sudden burst of crazy that needs you to be paying attention or find yourself riding your pod back to a station

Or getting podded...

 

It will keep you on your toes!

I am not one to reject fits but I'm fine. I don't rat with a VNI very often at all. It was just something I was playing with. I'd had that thing for months and didn't really mind losing it. Was just annoyed about how I lost it. Wouldn't have been half as upset if I'd gotten dropped on, lol.

Definitely! Though, it's always important to remember that, in this game, suicide is a valid form of transportation, so remember to keep some dead heads, lol.

FYI, my corp has just begun the process of leaving Provi in search of new content (and hopefully less drama?), so yeah. Currently nothing final on where we're going (we have a couple possibilities), but, uh, that's happening.
