I would love to go to Romania. Draculea, you up for house guests? :D

 

Hemmed in by mountains, pockmarked by valleys and swathed in old-growth forests, it’s a land of strange and often supernatural beauty. Beyond the towns and villages, much of the country still feels fantastically wild. Lynx, deer and wild boars populate its woodlands, and golden eagles can often be spotted wheeling amongst the mountain peaks. In the more isolated corners, brown bears and packs of wolves still roam free.

That would be the Bran castle, the alleged residence of Vlad...

 

I'm not in guest housing, but there are plenty of those around, just waiting for visitors. I could call for a reservation if you want.  :)

Actually it's Corvin Castle. Shame on you! But Vlad Tepes was held there in his youth by John Hunyadi, so it does have a connection to the Son of the Dragon. :P

This is Bran Castle. It's easy to see why one mistake it for Corvin Castle. They're very similar in style.

This is Bran Castle. It's easy to see why one mistake it for Corvin Castle. They're very similar in style.My bad.

 

My bad actually.  :)  I was supposed to know better... Though the Corvins' castle is just as famous as Bran, if not more.

It makes sense that Romanians don't donate blood. With vampire attack possible at any moment it pays to have all your blood. That's just smart.

Wouldn't that mean that blood banks would be a great social boon? Vampires don't have to hunt people, blood donations are at an all time high, and you don't have to get kinky with dead people. Win win! :D

Blood banks are a major feature of the underlying plot in Vampire: The Masquerade. One clan, the Giovanni, invests heavily in control of medical facilities to retain more or less exclusive access to them.

Blood donations are actually at an all-time low. There have been many, many articles in the media about this in recent years. No wonder there have been so many vampire attacks!

Prince Charles has been very active in the environmental movement. Many people consider him a sort of British Al Gore. 

 

Fun fact: Romania's climate and geography is very similar to New England's. I'd probably feel right at home there. :)
