Hmm, we get Chapman's ice cream, but I haven't ever seen their sorbet. Which is really a pity, because when I lived up north, our local ice cream shop (in the form of an old woman with a very large patio) sold sorbet, and it was delicious.

I personally prefer Iced Latte during summers. Al though a good iced latte is hard to find, I know that Coffee-In makes reasonably good iced coffee and there was one gay Cafe in Tallinn which made awesome iced latte. Most places screw it up with the cream or blending and it just turns out like a latte gone cold.

 

Other than that I hardly ever buy anything cold from stands like that.

I'm generally not one to buy iced coffees, but it's because, like you, I've found most places just really mess them up. Tim Horton's makes a good iced cappuccino, which always surprises me because I find their coffee dreadful. Dairy Queen's MooLattés can be delicious when made right, but I've found that outside of major cities, the staff seem to have no idea how they're supposed to be made.

But if I really want a good iced coffee, I make it myself. Vietnamese iced coffee is simple enough to make if you have a French press or similar, and it's delicious.

This recipe approximates my method of making it. The authentic way to make it is with a Vietnamese coffee press that sits on top of the cup used to hold the coffee, but I've never been able to find one, so I use a Bodum-brand French press instead. If you're not really fussy, it shouldn't matter as long as you brew it strong enough. Really delicious stuff, though I usually have to regulate consumption with a healthy dose of guaifenesin if I want to breathe through my nose after consuming that much dairy.

Oh and pollen. I get way bad super hayfever and I can't see a damn thing. In the early months of summer when an easterly wind blows across the desert, my eyes water so much... I've got like... ten sneezes in a row before.... that sort of thing. I don't drive those days. I also love refrigerated air con cause it somehow keeps it out.

Chapman's sorbet is only sold in very large Loblaws stores here in Ottawa. It's not easy to find. It's nice though.

Gluten allergy here but I am very tolerant of homosex so that makes up for it

Ahh, yeah. Gluten would suck, like so many things have gluten, it's just a binder. o_o

 

I guess I'm allergic to pollen and stuff. I keep getting better, and eating honey to help (it has condensed pollen in dere), but the start of every spring and fall kills me. o_o
