Coors is the second most awful beer I have ever drunk. The only thing worse that I've actually had is Kokanee. There's something wrong with the Pacific coast, they should all be told to not make beer. Even the microbreweries out there kinda suck.

 

Mind you I'm excluding Japanese beer and French beer from the list, because they smell so bad that I won't drink them. At least Coors doesn't smell awful. But lord, it's just so damn weak.


The cider in BC is very good though. I haven't had American west coast cider, not sure if that's something they really make. California wine has gotten a lot better since its origins but it's still a long way behind the good wine-making areas.

 

Americans do make great whisky though. I love Jim Beam. So if you want to call me a sissy for hating American beer, then keep in mind I'm a bourbon drinker. B-)

Oh don't get me started about the French beer. I sat at a place called Irish Pub in Metz, France and asked the bartender for a good french beer. He asked me if I wanted a good beer or a french beer.

Yeah, it has struck me as being kinda odd how Germany seems to be the only country in the world that can both make decent beer and wine. Every other country can either make beer or wine, but never both at once.

 

Then again there aren't that many countries that make decent wine, so maybe that's the reason.
