Yeah they only let you have ten choices, so Chick-fil-A didn't make the cut because I figured they're less of a "fry-heavy" menu. But those waffle fries ARE good!
I didn't even think of Five Guys. I didn't realize they were that big a chain. I thought there were just a few. We only just got one around here recently (also a Sonic). A lot of my friends rave over Five Guys, but I find them way too greasy. The last two times I've eaten there I've gotten sick.
In 'N' Out is too regional, which is why I didn't include them. As far as I know they only serve California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.
For reasons that have never been clear to me, a lot of the national chains have little or no presence in New England. We have McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's, of course. But there are no Arby's, Hardee's, White Castle, Carl's Junior, or Jack in the Box anywhere around here. There is one Sonic (recent) and one Long John Silver's, but I've never been to the latter because 1) I hate fish, and 2) it's in a shithole. We also have damn few Little Caesar's and Papa John's, hardly any really. Instead we have local chains, like Papa Gino's. And, of course, being New England, every town has an independent pizza/sub shop inevitably called the "[name of town] House of Pizza."
