It's pretty hard to rig a caucus. You have to stand there and be counted, and you have to stay until it's over. It's not like casting a secret ballot.

And just to clarify one point: Hillary Clinton did not win Iowa because of a coin toss, or even a series of coin tosses. Coin tosses were used to allocate a tiny handful of county delegates, but these are not the delegates that determine the outcome of the caucuses. Those are called state delegate equivalents (SDEs), and they are allocated on the basis of the voting. Media Matters explains it well: Media Falsely Attribute Clinton Iowa Caucuses Win To Coin Flips.

I'm certainly no Clinton supporter, but I think Bernie's campaign does itself no favors by harping on stuff like this. He should be taking the high road. Besides, he's going to bury her in New Hampshire.

... and he has, didn't even wait for the results in Iowa, just moved onto NH.

TRUMP on the otherhand is all about Cruz "cheating" in Iowa and demanding a recount.

The thing that cracks me up about this election is all the people at work who are lazy are like "herp derp Sanders". Gee, I wonder why. Then you have the people who bust their ass at work who are all Trump supporters.

It's a matter of seeing the big picture. Individual contribution benefits the whole. I have no problem busting my ass to make the store do better so everyone does better, then there's those who are like "fuck this shit i only make X amount an hour i aint doing no work, go sanders"

I do love when Sanders puts the smackdown on Clinton though.

Just because stupid people misunderstand Sanders doesn't make him wrong. It's not like there's any shortage of stupid people supporting Trump.

i think a more accurate way of measuring it Thrash is people who only care about their own personal well being are voting for Trump, people who care about themselves AND others are voting for Bernie.

I think the problem with bernie sanders is that most of his stuff is crap, and what little isn't is so convoluted and mixed in with his other stuff to be useful.

It's kind of insane. Like wanting to tax trade, or thinking that would somehow pay for things. Or wanting to do away with all private healthcare. It's kind of bonkers, a huge huge leap forwards.

It's not that I don't think he wants to help, it's that I think his ideas are wrong, primarily because they are too extreme.

The mad man often tells the truth, but the truth are not always the facts.

Basically what Bernie advocates is the Nordic model, which I have been pushing for years. His unexpected rise only reinforces my secret belief that I subconsciously control the universe.

I don't care if Bernie can get these things passed or not, he strikes me as an honest dude with a genuine love for this country and its people. Based on that merit alone he has my vote.

No, he doesn't.

Norway, Sweden, Switzerland etc. all have private health-care options. I'm alright with a 50-50 split, which is pretty close to what we have now at least in terms of healthcare. What he wants to do is COMPLETELY replace all private healthcare and make it all government paid for. That's a can of worms that can't end well.

This. I saw a commentator the other day say that Bernie is attracting so much support because he is a decent, honest guy who says what he thinks. This is refreshing in American politics.

You should write your congressman and senators and ask them if they think that THEIR government run, tax-payer funded healthcare is a can of worms that can't end well. And if so how come they don't opt out. ;)

Again, I've never tried to argue that government support is a bad thing.

Just that absolute government control cannot end well. For a variety of different reasons. People ought to be allowed certain choices.

Furthermore, congressmen are allowed to have access to private healthcare.
