What if they want to be a respectable actress, huh? Not every girl is a porn star you sexist jackasses.

When you have someone take a picture of you with jizz on your face, then maybe you do want to be a pron star.

Are they active in the porn industry?

No?

Well that's interesting, it's almost as if they don't want to be a porn star. Fuck, it's not that hard, seriously.

Victims.. go outside nude and complain and call yourself a victim when people look at you, because that's basically what we've got here.

Facts: Kate Upton is a model. Kate Upton has othet topless/scantly clad photos on the internet even before this incident. That line has been crossed.

You had it right, then you went off on this crazy tangent.

In retrospect, they should not have done it.

But that does not take away from how wrong it is that it was done. I was not going to go into this until I realized that people other than you, Thrash, were not only viewing these things, but actively sharing them, and then I realized that you actually believed it was their fault. So I clarified. Sorry if that is somehow confusing. I mean, to be honest, what I'm currently talking about was something I just assumed all sane, civilized folk implicitly understood. Clearly I am either wrong, or none of you are worth the civilized moniker. I like to imagine the latter, it's a nicer thing to think of a world where everyone is nice and polite.

Good facts. Here's some more: The images leaked were not authorized by her to be sold, or shared, so as far as she was concerned, they were still highly private images.

Long story short, she was not trying to be a porn star with those images, it still remains an issue of theft, a breach of privacy, and sexism/sexual harrassment/sexual misconduct.

Of course, lets not forget the other images of the other women involved, some of them taken of them before they were legal and are therefore child porn, I dunno, those facts of yours, while true, seem decidedly hollow in this.

Let me get this straight here. You're arguing that it is entirely the fault of those affected, and that the actions of the hackers/4chan/armies of horny men on the internet in actually committing this offense is totally irrelevant? Cause they're stars and have no privacy anyway, and therefore you should be able to see them naked whenever you want?

Is that what you're arguing? Cause that's all kinds of fucked up, and I have a lot of words for that, and none of them are good.

I never said that those who hacked and leaked were not at fault. These types of things happen on a daily basis and no matter what you or I do will never stop that. There is definitely possible criminal intent there. My argument is that those subjects to whom you speak of have a burden of guilt as well. They knew the risks of posting those (anyone who doesn't shouldn't be any less culpable for their ignorance) pictures and chose that venue anyway. We live in an ever-growing age of lost accountability. People no longer have consequences for poor decisions or bad choices and mainstream media and the PC brigade that has become prevalent in society coddle that. I do not want my kids growing up in a world that mistakes are no longer learned from and bad behavior goes unchecked.

I am going to readdress some things to put them back into context

Long story short, she was not trying to be a porn star with those images, it still remains an issue of theft, a breach of privacy, and sexism/sexual harrassment/sexual misconduct.

Of course, lets not forget the other images of the other women involved, some of them taken of them before they were legal and are therefore child porn, I dunno, those facts of yours, while true, seem decidedly hollow in this.

If you had bothered to reread or take time to absorb earlier comments where I said that using pornographic images or minors was a crime and reprehensible, then you would know where my stance was. I am not going to even bother re-quoting it because I have stated multiple things at least twice but yet you still want to ask them again. Same thing goes with your sexism tirade that appeared out of nowhere. Thrash's quote of you on this page probably said it the best so I will leave that there. Most of you do not know the inner workings of the Legion or most of its members but you are the female version of the Arbiter in that you are are horrible about what battles you choose to adopt and White Knight.

I am arguing that because they are celebrities we should not elevate them and give them (much) less fallibility like many have and continue to do. Just because someone is famous does not mean they are above the law or in this case given extra leeway when it comes to this type of behavior. A generation ago we would never have had this problem because the technology we had at the time made this lack of behavior almost impossible. Sexual promiscuity was still present but not necessarily waved in the face of the masses for all to see. For the most part, you got these images from porn and select publications which were intended to be seen by mature audiences only and the handful of times you saw them otherwise were limited to one area (school, neighborhood, etc). The internet is a global and permanent place. Lost on the current generation just entering adulthood is a sense that the internet is not only a privilege but also a information stream that is global in an instant.

Edit: I apologize for the double post

Anyone who stores naked pictures of themselves in the cloud is either 1) an idiot, or 2) wants them to be found. In the case of celebrities it is probably both.

I am disgusted by this talk of positive publicity, as if all girls ever want is to secretly be exposed to everyone. Do you guys secretly want nude pics of yourselves to circulate the internet, or be printed out in a huge poster? What if they want to be a respectable actress, huh? Not every girl is a porn star you sexist jackasses.

These aren't girls. They're celebrities. Arguably they might qualify as human. But one obvious distinction between them and the rest of us is that they really like to be looked at.

no....and not every single male is a perv.A lot of them hate this as much as you.

And the moral of this story is don't trust the cloud for private data storage.you cant tell how good there server security is.

I would say the moral of the story is don't trust the Cloud for sensitive data storage, especially if you're a celebrity. No one is looking for naked pictures of me.

But if anyone wants some let me know.

The problem is, it's private.

Just because a person doesn't mind a person looking at them on their own time doesn't mean they'd want people watching them 24/7 or in all the other instances. A person should be allowed to take a naked photo of themselves without being become public, I don't see why it automatically condemns them to that kind of harassment and publicity.

I feel bad for the celebrities, I do.

I don't necessarily think those watching them are at fault, but this is a pretty heinous crime by the perpetrators.
