Pretty cool show. Sadly it heavily depends on hiding a lot instead of letting you find out stuff early.

Like it has a story to tell, a good one, but it just prevents you from figuring out by just not giving you the majority of the story. You're along for the ride and that's it. At the end, you get some bullshit that explains what went on all along, with you know the shit it refused to tell you before.

 

And really a mystery story doesn't need that. You have ones that directly tell you who the killer is and take you along to find out why and it was done.

It is sad when mystery isn't pulled off effectively. It takes finesse to really make it work. Ideally you want to have all the information presented to the viewer before the big reveal(s), but in such a way that they seem innocuous at the time. Leave a trail of breadcrumbs that seem like disconnected fluff, and then all of a sudden the relevance of it all becomes clear at the end. This does mean that a viewer who is in the right frame of mind can figure out the mystery before the end, which might be why some writers choose to hide information until the end to ensure all viewers are kept in the dark until they want them to get the reveal. It's unfortunate because, and I'm sure we're of the same or similar opinion here, that kind of cheapens the whole impact by making it feel like an ass-pull to some extent.
