You know if Hamas is not removed from Palestine(Gaza too) this will happen again. Remember the last cease fire. They(Hamas) just rebuild their offensive rocketry again and fire them.

Sometimes I think it'd be easier to say when Israel wasn't breaking international law or was following a UN resolution. More emphasis on the resolutions they've been ignoring since the late 60's/early 70's, IIRC.

I don't think I can really add anything further that hasn't already been brought up in the other topics.

Also, whenever Likud is in power, it follows that there will be stuff like this. :( They don't want peace or to have anything to do with a peace process (at least historically).

A lot of what Israel does violates international law.  That's never stopped them in the past.

Well, in fairness, a lot of what the United States does violates international law too.  International law is kind of a cool kids club.  The Western nations get away with a lot.

I saw a documentary a few nights ago, Louis Theroux in Israel, and it was very interesting because at one point one of the guys he was with defended the fact that the israelis were throwing palestinians out of their houses in the middle of the night at gunpoint with "We are the chosen ones, this is our land." And then when told that the international sentiment was against him that "The world has a problem then"

I say we finish what my people started with these zionist bastards. You can't live in peace? You die. Where's your god given right to live there now, you pricks.

Reminds me of elementary school. One kid's being a cunt? "Everybody put you heads down for 5 minutes of recess." It's not about being right. It's about sending a message.

One person with no roommate caught with weed? Someone else must have known about it! No one in the company goes off post all weekend!

Mass punishment is such a foolish and lazy tactic.

What sort of cunt does that. D:

I can sort of understand why a teacher might use it at a primary school with kids. But a CO of Army personnel, not really. I would be plotting revenge on said person were I wrongfully maligned.

Everyone in a leadership position in the US military, just about. It's a common occurrence, and far from the only backwards thing about the US military.

(Oh, and the US military is one of the few places where grown ass adults treat other grown ass adults like they're back in middle school... and then complain when the grown ass adults start acting like... well... fucking middle schoolers. You try to get people to stop using their brains, you shouldn't be surprised when they stop using their fucking brains.)

Mass punishment is, unfortunately, usually pretty effective. You don't need to enforce the rules when you can get everyone else to do it for you.

It's a way of passing on responsibility which should rest with the people in charge. Maybe if they were willing to do their fucking jobs instead of sitting on their ass playing Farmville or Millionaire City all day things would work out better.

Because the concept of mass punishment came up, so I went off on a rant. All we need now is for, somehow, shaming people for needing more than two weeks of recovery time after a major surgery (and really just shaming people who need medical help in general) to come up and we'll have hit both of my major rants about my Army days.
