The more discerning among you will note that today is the 19th, well over halfway through the month.  So it's just a tad late to start a new theme month for February.  But that's all right.  I had planned on February being a "skip month" anyway, to give everyone a chance to go back to their "default" identities for a while.  It was my intention to make a post about this, but what can I say?  I didn't.  Sue me.

I am going to pin this thread and use it as the ongoing Theme Month thread, posting new themes and other info as needed.  Also we can talk about theme ideas.  Which brings me to my next subject...

 

March's Theme Month
 

I was thinking along the lines of something like "The Best You."  The idea would be that we would set our avatars and sigs in whatever configuration we considered to be the "real" us, if that makes sense.  Maybe it's the one you used the longest, or with which you are most identified.  Like for me it would be this:

 

 

So does that make sense?  Thoughts?  Suggestions?

I've used way too many nicks, avatars, and signatures for me to be able to participate. My sense of self-identity has also changed significantly since I ever first joined CN (coming out of the closet, ho-yay!), so I can't say I even identify enough with my in-game ruler or RP persona anymore to be able to use any of my original sig or avatar sets.

But I do like the idea regardless.

You, Sia-chan, are someone who would not be ideal for the concept, no.  Heh.  It's funny, I think of you as Michael von Preussen first, and everything else being essentially "masks" you're wearing.  Maybe you would have to make a special compound avatar that cycled through them all!

You could construct an avatar shaped like a giant hydra whose faces were each one of your avatars. That sounds easy doesn't it? B)

I have had a request from the Lady Redezra to make March Starcraft Month.  It's not a game I play, but I understand a lot of us here do, so I'm happy to bow to the will of my people.  So, by the power vested in me by the Nevada State Boxing Commission and the Royal Canadian Mounted Socialites, I do hereby declare it to be so.

 

Apparently I'm the Overmind.  So everyone else just STEP BACK.
