From a biological point of view identical twins are, for all intents and purposes, the same person.  Quite fascinating.  The Nazis did a lot of research on twins, believing twins to be the key to cloning.  They really weren't far off, frighteningly enough.  But of course that's where The Boys From Brazil picks up.

In burn treatment, the only skin graft that is permanent is one from yourself, called an autograft.  With one exception: twins.  Identical twins can donate skin, organs, etc., to their sibling without danger of rejection.  Because, again, biologically they are identical.  Fascinating.

Well they need to figure out a fix for that then, cause they have fake bone now.

 

Bone is easy.  It's inert.  A piece of metal can replace bone.  Skin and other organs are more complex.  There is artificial skin, in fact my old hospital, Shriners, pioneered it.  But it's only temporary.  Still, they're working on it.
