Well I appreciate all of your guys honesty. :3

Hopefully we can all learn something, even if it's just insight in to other people's opinions.

Why do you hate them?

Foreign aid can be beneficial to the U.S., by building allies and supporting out interests in the region. Bailing most of the Europe out during WWII helped solidify our alliance with them. Back in the early 1900's, the U.S. just saw them as colonialist empires, which they were, and us as a rebellious colony.

With our intervention, it helped transform large portions of Europe into what they are today, which is much better, for us and for them, and strengthened our ties with them. We shouldn't see things from the perspective of how it only benefits ourselves, but, ultimately these problems have a tendency to balloon out of control and eventually involve us if we don't put a lid on them.

We're a part of the world as well, and what happens in it effects us.

I don't hate them.

I do not support Israel, and do not hate them. I would like to stop supporting them.

We are not currently doing anything on the level of the Marshall plan, and I believe you are viewing its effects through rose tinted glasses.

I do not wish to buy "friends", and to give, and to act, as we currently do. There is so much more we could be doing (or stop doing) to "build[ing] allies" or support our interests in different parts of the world.

Yeah, let's hand Israel over to the PLO, you know, that organization ruled by Hamas and Fatas.

Seems like a fantastic idea.

What percentage of people living in Palestine want their own country?

Let's just consider what percentage of people in Palestine consider themselves Palestinian

Israel's demarche is hasty. If there's one group of people you don't want on your bad side it's the Swedes. Sure, they seem all pleasant and Scandinavian, but all they think of is murder. M-U-R-D-E-R.

I will be happy to send Israel FM Lieberman an Ikea flat pack to assemble. He'll see it requires a partner, cooperation and a good manual.

I support Israel, and i support their right to exist. I also support Palestine's right to exist. There is a good amount of truth behind Thrash's argument of Israel having tremendous influence over several affairs in the United States. Although i'm sure this goes both ways seeing how the U.S. contributes 20% of their defense budget. I dont believe in those that ask America not be an ally of Israel because in the long run being allies with that country will help us tremendously.

But Israel has the population and the capital to support themselves so i see no reason as to why we need to continue giving them as much aid as we currently do. They no longer need to be babied. They also have the right to defend themselves seeing how they have a shit load of enemies(just like we do). Based on what i've noticed, Hamas tends to strike first and tends to be the most radical so just as the U.S. would strike when under threat, i believe Israel should as well. Same goes for Iran should they develop a nuclear weapon. At the end of the day though, the goal SHOULD be to reach some kind of peace and it does not seem Israel is putting in enough effort to reach that goal. Someone has to be the bigger man and that someone should be Israel in my opinion.

Well, it's not so much that I mind Palestine becoming it's own country in theory, but, I just don't see much support for it.

Polls have repeatedly shown that Palestine didn't want to become it's own country, there just seems to be a really vocal minority. Last time I remember it was around 4%, but I can't seem to find the poll...
