We shall see! Vanguard will be resetting the rest of the stainfraggin coalition sometime today so I guess I'll see you on the battlefield. Let the COTest farming begin.

A lot of it depends on what you want to do. I suggest you figure that out and then go find and join a corp or alliance that does it.

There's always the big new player corps if you want to get into nullsec (nullsec bestsec): Pandemic Horde, Karmafleet, Brave Newbies, etc.

My corp is definitely recruiting. We are a small to mid-sized nullsec corp that has a bit of everything and is still building up. We do have an SP requirement (and require a mic and voice comms) but it's quite flexible, for the most part we're just wanting good pilots.

We're a member of the Vanguard Coalition which is on the whole PVP focused, but my corp/alliance has a branch that does industrial stuff as well. My corp CEO is a really heavy Indy guy and his experience lets us punch well above our weight class in the industrial dept.

I can't really speak for the highsec and lowsex corps (or wormhole, for that matter). I dont really have much experience there besides traveling thru (highsec is dirty...)

Well I'm still under 1M SP. I kinda like mining and industry. I tried playing last winter but stopped playing since I couldn't find a corp I felt at home. I think I'm pretty much scattered around highsec trying to do the sisters of eve line.

If your toon is that new, you might benefit from starting over to be quite honest. The new New Player Experience is quite awesome. I'll drop some starting ISK on you too if you want.

But like I said, I don't really know a lot about operating in Highsec and all, so I'm not sure of all of the corps. The big nullsec alliances like Horde and such are pretty much constantly under highsec war which means that highsec becomes a lot less safe, especially around trade hubs.

Let me know if you want to try out nullsec though. Would probably be a good idea to train into Interceptors first though.

Yeah, I was thinking about creating a new character, though that seems to take a long time to get back to the mining lvl V's. 12M ISK isn't much is it? I mean thats all I have besides a cormorant, venture, and a barge. I don't mind traveling out to null or lowsec, I don't think I encountered more than a handful of people in highsec.

Yeah, I realize its not much but it seems like a lot haha. I probably will join a newbie alliance for now. I put an ad on the forums looking for alliances but none of them seemed to present themselves well.

Hmm, well, I can say that there are also some good alliances down in Providence who are usually willing to help out newer players. I was a part of one (named Care Factor) for a while. That particular one has a very lassiez-faire attitude and they don't really care what you do, even if I don't like some of the people anymore....

Providence is an area of nullsec (the only area) where players who are neutral can go without getting shot first by the people who live there. They operate under NRDS (Not Red Don't Shoot) policy which makes it a decent place to get a taste of nullsec without having to join an entity. That's different from the rest of nullsec which typically follow an NBSI (Not Blue, Shoot It) policy.

That being said, being neutral down there is still dangerous because it means you don't necessarily know who's friendly or not and it's really easy to have a misunderstanding and get set red. Neutrals are also generally mistrusted because a lot of people abuse the system. So, despite all the rules about who you can shoot first and all, I recommend you join one if the entities down there. That way you can get your feet wet. Just take care not to adopt the holier-than-thou attitude some of the people down there adopt, lol.

Fair warning that there are plenty of cool guys, but there are also plenty of bittervets who have been there forever (like most other places, admittedly) who can't accept change. So don't expect anything to change very quick down there either, lol.

Oh, right. I keep meaning to drop some starting ISK in there... On 2nd thought, might not be the best considering that my alliance are goon enemies right now. Could possibly get you in trouble if they check your API, lol
