This ring belonged to my mom when my dad first proposed to her. They later had their vows renewed and got another set. After my mom passed away, he gave the second set to my sister. He gave the first set to me. I wasn't expecting to do it last night cause my sister was gonna go and get it resized and cleaned up and stuff. But we got there last night and I compared it to one of my girlfriend's other rings and realized its a perfect size. So I went ahead and did it last night.

We aren't married yet. Just engaged.

Not planning on having a big wedding. Just something small and simple at the church. I wanna save money for the honeymoon. Lol. I'll blow it all there.

Also, let her handle the wedding. The kindest thing you can do is to just have her tell you when and where to show up and what to wear. It saves a lot of hassle. When a friend of mine got married a couple of years ago we lobbied hard for tuxedo t-shirts on the beach, but that suggestion was summarily overruled by the bride and her council of wives and girlfriends. Do not attempt to meddle in their affairs, for they are far more powerful than you.

Oh I already know that. No, I told her she is sitting down with the wedding planner and there will just be a blank check in my seat while I go hang out with my cousin. Lol. But she's on board with the whole keep it simple and blow it all on the honeymoon. Not entirely sure what we are doing right now. My budget isn't very high at this time but I just graduated and maybe I can get a good job soon and get real money. If so, if love to take a cruise. But we talked about going to sea world. I could probably handle that on the money I make now.

As a fellow 'Jon' I support this message. Don't elope unless this is what the lady really wants. In seriousness, this is one of the most important days of a woman's life. If she wants a big wedding, give it to her.
