Not interested in how much money someone has, but rather how much stuff can people fit into their wallets and thus into their pockets.

Expecting detailed discussion :)

Added public transit options because those are pretty common in modern western cities, especially among students. :)

Also added biz cards.

lol yep. I am the molester of polls B)

Business cards are a Western thing, you may not be familiar with them. They normally contain a person's name, their place of business, and a phone number. Some businesses also have business cards for the whole business, usually places like restaurants and cab companies have those kind, which don't have an individual's name on them.

Calling cards are cards for phone companies, usually to get lower long distance rates. For example, my mom has one that she uses to call the UK with.

Oh, I had buisiness cards in mind lol.

I however don't understand your concept such calling cards. We use cell phones or internet phone. In side EU calls have been standardized and can not cost over 0.7 euros per minute, although that's where skype or some other similar system kicks in. In Estonia calls are 5 cents a minute for me.

Ah, OK. So maybe it's just calling cards that are North American and you don't know about them. B)

Normally the card comes with a list of local phone numbers. You call a local phone number and punch in the PIN on the card, then you dial the long distance number you're calling. The payment for the call comes off the card; as far as your telco is concerned it's just a local phone call.

As a Canadian, I will never comprehend America's decision to merge credit and debit cards. ALL HAIL INTERAC! DEATH TO VISA, MASTERCARD, AND AMEX!

Canadian banks are doing it now too. You can get debit VISA cards from TD I know. I think there are others as well, but TD is my bank.

I like it. It means you can buy stuff on Amazon without worrying about either your credit rating or paying interest to VISA.

Yeah, that is one benefit, I suppose. I wish PayPal would get wider acceptance. I also wish they'd stop being massive tools, though. :P

Well, to be fair, they are in the financial industry where massive toolishness is the norm. B)
