I'm really not knowledgeable about guns at all. I'd just like to do more of it I suppose.
I'd like to get more familiarity with field stripping/upkeeping various firearms. I've only ever really used my shotgun, or my dads when I was younger. I've only gone hunting a dozen times.
I got some 1911's (0.380 and 0.45) and some bolt action rifles (22, one's a CZ, the other a Winchester 67A I just checked) I want to play with. There's plenty more firearms I could use (not mine), but I've never fired a handgun, and the bolt actions, I just like bolt actions (I also picked up a bit of 22 ammo).
That's cool man, a lot of people aren't super knowledgeable, that's what this thread is about!
Cleaning guns isn't so difficult, but it all depends on the gun itself. You can look at the manual, or google it, and videos can be particularly helpful. I recommend those little cloth things to clean off the grime, than getting a cleaner and a lubricant, so you clean it, and then rub lubricant on it. It's actually kind of fun.
Cleaner is to help get off the crime or carbon fouling (the black stuff), and then the lubricant is added afterwards so it'll reciprocate easier. It's easy to get them backwards, I always do. xP
(They look so similiar D: )
Those are some pretty cool guns.
I have an Ak, a Zastava, and I'm having fun modifying it. I've posted pictures before. Guess I could repost them, here xD
