If you're magic, and we're playing a magic game here, don't worry about that.

Plus the OP gave the Dragons a buff. Immortal is cool for vampires, but then that's its own issue. As well, I may have considered Dragon rider coming with the elf powers as well, so it seems to entirely trump jedi/wizard.

Lack of information / training aside, I believe the way magic works with dragon riders (a language that speaks to the essence of things) is more liberal than harry magic, thus easier. Again I believe it would take more formal training, but if you get so many years training as a DR as you do a wizard (what at least four years?, and we assume you've already done this), I say a dragon rider is stronger, and only gets stronger with time. Vs. Harry where you can speak of Dumbledore, but he's an outlier. Most of the wizards are working class / average skill :P

Well, no, that wasn't the question.  The question is which would you want to be, not which world would you want to live in.  Without further clarification, I based my choice on the assumption that you would still live in the real world today.  If the question is which world do I want to live in, I'd have to give it some thought.  Although Paolini still shouldn't be included.  Basically you've got three giants and a midget.  A better fantasy alternative would have been an elf from Lord of the Rings.

Yeah, I just got finished watching an episode of The Clone Wars.  I'm sticking with my choice.  The Jedi are borderline incompetent, and most of them don't seem all that powerful.  Even a run of the mill wizard can still do some pretty amazing things.  Although I love Star Wars a million times more than Harry Potter, given the parameters I'm sticking with my choice.  CRUCIO!

How did you like them? Would reading them for the first time as an adult diminish the enjoyment?

Thank you. I've already read The Hunger Games, and I've now added Artemis Fowl and The Lightning Thief to my kindle. Young adult books do make for a fun, quick, and easy read between more involved works.
