Here's the deal:

 

You can be a fabulously successful celebrity entertainer, a true superstar.  Your music/movies/books/whatever are consistently smash hits, you are attractive and beloved and obscenely wealthy, worth at least $100 million.  But you are blind.

 

Would you take the deal?

There's been plenty of great musicians that have had some kinda disability like that. Plus, blind people are impressive. I've got a blind guy at my church, he's mastered it so well, you'd never know he was blind if he didn't wear his sunglasses. He's that good at sensing the world around him in other ways.

Pfft.  Amateur.  The last time my vision was rated on a 20/20 scale was when I was 13; at that time it was 20/2000.

Pfft. You are the amateur. When I wake up in the morning and do not immediately put on my glasses, I can get maybe 10 feet without running into something. That is how bad my stagmatism/depth perception is. At least if I was fully blind, I would have a pretty damn good excuse. Plus in this scenerio, I would be rich

I'm -13 in one eye, -12.50 in the other.  I am legally blind without my glasses.  One ophthalmologist has told me that in 25 years of practice mine are the worst eyes he's ever seen.

Lol.  I'm not far behind him.  Fortunately for me my eyes have been otherwise healthy and eminently correctable.  They can get me damn close to 20/20 most of the time.  And I can wear contacts when I need to look good.  So I really can't complain.
